ABOUT BLUESQUAKE

The mission of BluesQuake is to grow and strengthen the San Francisco and Bay Area partnered blues dancing scene. As an organization they strive to create a welcoming and inclusive community, which supports both their experienced dancers and those new to dancing. Together they will build connections through dance.

Project Details

Graphic Designer, Nina Elkin, had the role of artistic director and vendor coordinator for BluesQuake 2014, an annual blues dancing event in the Bay Area. She was also involved in submitting a designs proposal for the 2015 event.

Responsibilities in this role included designing content for and updating the website, creating promotional materials, designing and hand screen printing t-shirts, and producing a detailed event booklet in InDesign which was provided to all registered attendees.

As a member of the core organizing team in 2014, Nina collaborated regularly with other organizers and not only implemented their suggestions, but also took up an active role in event preparation meetings.

She has also created the logo and flyer design for the event Aftershock Fusion, which occurred in June, 2014.
